Barb and Dick have been florists in the Milwaukee area for many years.  Fourteen years ago we started Barb and Dick’s Wildflower in Wauwatosa, Wi.  We continue to own and operate that business today.

In January of this year we decided to open a new department within our shop. In May we will open the Butterfly store.net as a new “wing” of our florist shop.

Barb raises native Wisconsin butterflies and has a ton of practical experience helping butterfly populations survive and flourish in our community.

Barb also has an interest in saving a portion of the Milwaukee County Grounds as an annual flyway for the migrating Monarch butterflies on their incredible journey to Mexico.

Here’s a picture taken in September of Monarchs gathering at the Milwaukee County Grounds.  Each year this spectacular event takes place as the monarchs fly south.
